About The School
The start of the school in 2005 was 4 small rooms constructed on a small piece of land donated by Mohit Gorai’s family. The building was erected through donations from those foreign well wishers, who had sponsored his education. It was initially meant to house a Homeopathic chamber and residence for Dr. Mohit. But, he told there was more need for a small school, so it was registered as the RAMAKRISHNA VIVEKANANDA IDEAL SCHOOL.
The subsequent step, again donations from UK, was to add another floor with another to accommodate the ever increasing number of students wanting admission.
The latest addition to the project is a large building on land donated by Umesh Mahato, a local villager, who understood the importance of primary education in a backward village.
The school is now supported by EducAid, India established by well-wishers from UK through sponsorship for children of single extremely poor parents along with a few donations. It is 2174 sqft built up area and is called Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ideal Junior High School.
